Behind the Scenes of "Voices of Hope" - lead
On February 20th, most people who attended the "Voices of Hope" event focused on enjoying the songs in the concert. But what very few people think about is what goes on behind the scenes to make an event such as this possible. There are a group of people who make sure things run smoothly. Though they are given very little credit, technicians and the tech director volunteer their time to run lights, sound, setting up the stage, and making sure microphones work and are on stage at the right time. Now it is possible that the participants can set up the stage, without technicians the stage would be dark, and the singers wouldn't have microphones.

law and ethics
1st Amendment
1.Freedom of speech
2. Freedom of religion
3. Freedom of press
4. Freedom of assembly
5. Freedom of petition
public-controlled by government
Tinker standard- The US supreme court recognizes that the 1st amendment protects on-campus student speech.
Fraser standard- inappropriate speech for class president: student speech can be censored if vulgar and indecent
Hazelwood standard- 1st amendment doesn't protect most school-sponsored student media at public high schools as much: "reasonably related to legitimate pedagogical concerns[teaching concerns]"
Frederick standard- part of school function so it fell under Hazelwood.
rights outside of school- can't be punished by the school if not on school property and is outside of the school day. ex: if a student flipped off a teacher at a restaurant, teacher can't punish them. things written on public sites, facebook, myspace, offensive sites,
-out right, clear threats on sites can be punished(?).
- can be suspended from school sports/MN high school league for doing drugs and drinking alcohol because signed waiver states it clearly.
Libel: Publication of a false statement of fact that seriously harms someone's reputation.

3
Company: Bud Light
Target Audience: adults who drink beer and prefer light beer.
